Question: What is it about these specific animals that makes the author think that they are the most amazing animals?
Comment: I really didn't understand what about these two species that made the author write so extremely about them, he made it seem like they were the best species ever.
Marine
Quote: "There is a white blue hwale, maybe an albino."
Question: How can you tell if an animal is ablino?
Comment: This quote confused me because you can't really tell if a animal is an albino, because their pigment is different than our is.
Freshwater
Quote: Above him a buzzard floated in the river's canyon's narrow slice of California."
Question: What is a buzzard?
Comment: This quote confused me because I didn't know what a buzzard is, if it was a type of fish or a dead bee.
I think you have some good questions and luckily most of these things can be researched fairly easily. As for the albino question, I think they mean that if the pigment is lighter than that species pigment normally is. Also, a buzzard is a type of bird, it's basically a volture.
